Forgetting the Loneliness

My husband is a reservist in the army (he is stunning in a uniform, ladies ;), and this means that one weekend per month, he is gone.  I really don't like it when he has drill, because he gets up and leaves at 4:30 am and doesn't come home until around 8:30 pm, and then tries to go to bed by 9:00 pm.  And even if you suck at math, you can deduct that this schedule leaves no time for spanking his lovely wife, let alone spending time with her.

I spent a lonely Saturday today, mostly watching the more obscure Olympic sports, relishing every new comment on my blog, and thinking back on yesterday's impromptu spanking:

We are getting a new car because someone totaled our other one (not my fault!), and yesterday evening we were printing and making copies of all the necessary paperwork.  I was not particularly excited about the whole process and was on the couch with my computer and my warm, fluffy cat curled up on my lap.

He told me, "Babe, I need you to go get the copies from the printer."  (We have a wireless printer that sits in an unused room of our house, so, when printing anything, one must get up and go into said room.)

"OK, I'll get them in a minute, the cat is sleeping," I said, as if this were some sort of rarity for a cat.

As soon as I said I would get them, I promptly forgot about the request, and continued doing whatever I was doing.

Several minutes later, "Babe, where are the copies?!"

"Oh...I forgot, I'll go get them," I pushed a disgruntled cat to the floor and went to the office.  I am notorious for forgetting things, and I chuckled at my husband, like it was same ol' same ol' for me.

As I stepped out of the office, he snatched me up with one arm, bent me over the other, and yanked down my pants and panties.

He then proceeded to assault my bottom with sharp, stinging smacks, taking my breath away at the suddenness of it all.

"When I tell you to do something, you do it, young lady.  You got that?"

"Yes, sir," I replied, breathlessly.  He spanked me several more times, then pulled up my pants with a reminder that I should honor his requests right away, lest I forget what they are several seconds later.

It was short and delectably harsh, but a spanking like that makes a girl forget the loneliness for at least a couple hours.

  1. I can relate to the loneliness of missing your husband. My H used to travel for work a lot, now he just travels only a few times a year, thankfully. But I miss him like crazy when he is gone.

I just love those 'taken by surprise' spankings. It makes me feel so looked after and loved.

  2. I agree. It's so difficult to miss our hubbies. Mine doesn't go away but he works a crazy amount of hours. I spend a lot of time missing him and wishing we could win the lotto so he could be home with me or we could be staying at the ocean.

Those impromptu spankings really make it 'real' because then you know it's all them at that moment. It's their idea to be spanking you for a punishment. It's scary yet thrilling. I crave those sometimes and fear them at others! funny how our emotions are.

  3. Wow. That spanking sounds delicious! Welcome to blogland. My husband used to be a reservist, so girl, I can relate. Once we had kiddos that kept me hopping while he was gone. Prior to that though it kind of sucked at times. AT was the worst. He used to go to all these places that I wanted to see while I was stuck at home. He got to go to Germany during Oktoberfest and I was at home with our toddler! But I also know that it is nice to feel that sense of pride in his service too!

  4. I see we can all relate to missing our hard-working husbands! As a professional singer, I work sporadically and at odd hours, so, if I'm in a show, I'll be gone at rehearsal when he gets home from work, and then we REALLY don't see each other. I am very proud of his service, though, but I feel like I'm serving our country as well by putting up with his monthly/yearly absences!

  5. Autumn.. just wanted to stop in and say welcome. Enjoyed both of your posts and can say I do understand. My hubby and I are often seperated for periods of time due to our work dynamics which can be challenging at best. The impromptu spanking are great as you get the attention you need and feel like you are at least being noticed whether good or bad. I am imfamous for my delayed responses for requests to do something as asked, one of our major issues right now. Something to keep working on.

  6. It sounds like your soldier is taking good care of you. Yes, you and the other military families are serving our country as well.

    1. Thanks! He's only been deployed once, but I hope and pray that it doesn't happen again, because he's gone for a year. He does take good care of me :)
